By accessing or using StepLeague ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or participating in any StepLeague challenge, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Platform Description
StepLeague is a gamified step-tracking competition platform that allows users to join monthly step challenges, compete on leaderboards, and track fitness progress. StepLeague is not a healthcare service and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and current information during registration. StepLeague reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Step Challenge Participation
- Participants must submit accurate, unaltered step tracking data.
- Step data manipulation, spoofing, or use of unauthorized tools is strictly prohibited.
- StepLeague reserves the right to disqualify participants found to be in violation of fair play rules.
- Competition rules, scoring methodologies, and league structures may be modified at StepLeague's discretion.
5. Subscription and Billing
Participation in monthly step leagues requires a subscription fee of $10 per month, billed at the beginning of each challenge period. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. All payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors.

7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
- Interfere with or disrupt Platform operations
- Submit false or manipulated step data
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including but not limited to logos, text, graphics, and software, is the property of StepLeague and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. StepLeague does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Participation in fitness challenges involves inherent risks; users participate at their own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StepLeague shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to physical injury from exercise, loss of data, or unauthorized account access.
11. Social Impact Donations
StepLeague commits to donating a portion of subscription revenue to nonprofit organizations supporting people with disabilities. The specific allocation, recipients, and timing of donations are at StepLeague's discretion and may change from time to time. Donation reports will be made available to users within the Platform.
12. Modifications to Terms
StepLeague reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted by law.
